There is someone I would like to tell everyone about, Barbie Bellamak. This
woman is my hero. She isn't a big showy type of person, not particularly
overtly brave. She is kinda shy even. But...this girl has finished the
Tevis TEN times. One year her crew even got soused and couldn't believe she
wanted them to get up to help her. So she finished on her own. She finished
her last Tevis(so far) in 91 knowing that her cancer had come back. She has
been fighting it ever since, surgeries , chemo, Mexico, the whole thing.
But I can tell you, she will be so glad to do a 25 again. For some of us a
25 is just as important as 100's and 50's. Jane
