We should be celebrating the accomplishments of all the excellent horsemen
and women, whatever the venue, whatever the distance, for to be sure
everyone of them has overcome some obstacle on the road to their achievement.
I put on a limited distance ride at Bucks County last fall--we had a
wonderful turnout of rank beginners and experienced horsepersons alike. And
this group was absolutely the most fun to be around. Oh yes, they were the
worriers, they asked questions incessantly but they were the ones with the
biggest grins and the most appreciation for our ride management team. I am
looking forward eagerly to having another limited distance in Sept.
