Some arabs do have a sense of self-preservation..that is my observance with
stallions. Like many men I know (not all by far), their egos are between
thier legs. Think about it, in the wild, the stallion is in back of the herd
with a dominant mare in the front. From my experience (three stallion in
endurance at various times), many stallions won't lead (or prefer not to) and
some won't pass another horse (unless it is another stallion).
