I've always wondered about that. The main breeding stallion at Cal Poly
is Reign On, a Bask son out of a Bajram/Kellogg lines daughter who was
Park Champion at both Scottsdale and the Canadian Nationals a few years
back. He would undoubtedly have cleaned up at the U.S. Nationals as
well (there was nothing on earth that could trot like Reign On), EXCEPT
for unsoundness. Blown tendons in front kept him from the U.S. Nat'ls
and ultimately ended his performance career and put him into stud. If
you look at him standing, he is both sickle-hocked and cow-hocked (and
not just slightly), and I always wondered if it was this conformation
that got his hind end so far underneath that he could practically walk
on his hind legs and wave his front end around up somewhere around his
ears. Comments?

The interesting thing is that over the years Reign On has sired some
pretty outstanding performance get. Cory Soltau's Reign Man is one,
Shelley Sexton-Lohman's Power Pack is another. There are others
that I can't remember specifically. Plus, of course, plenty showing in
English Pleasure and Park.

Nice talking to ya, Robbi!
