I look for:
size - a real 15-2 and up
age - 7 to 8
sex - mare or gelding
color - chestnut first then bay - stay away from gray
line - Crabbits or Crabbits cross
conformation - good overall with a good back end
bone - lots of bone
muscle type - loose
personality - high energy, bold and people friendly and good ground

manners
resting heart rate - 32 or below
