Alternative therapies

We are blessed in SE PA to have several highly qualified equine chiropractic
practioners. I use Dr. Judith Shoemaker who is based at Doug Hannum's in
Nottingham, PA. Dr. Shoemaker also does magnetic therapies, accupuncture,
herbal remedies, etc. and is quite knowledgeable about shoeing. She has
pinpointed Lyme's disease, a shoeing problem when we were looking everywhere
but, a suspensory trauma and on and on.... Her advice (and support of our
sport) has been invaluable. I routinely take Kasey and Mr T to her in the
spring for a complete checkup--she makes adjustments only where necessary
and helps us develop a program for the coming year. She is generous with
her time and takes great care to educate us in those things which we can do
at home to maintain and enhance work started at her clinic.

Her work with Mr T turned a potential retirement into many more years of
useful work. I don't pretend to understand everything she says and
does...but so much of what she tells me makes sense...and I learn something
new with every visit.
