I don't get the connection myself, but whatever. My point was that
there's a big difference between the Super Bowl and any endurance ride
marketing wise.

Tish's point is well taken concerning marthon running and prize money as
well.

Still the main focus that seems to STILL escape most since the beginning
of the thread, months ago is that it's grossly unfair for the amatuer
rider to be forced into a position of competing with professional jockeys
and training stables.

It should be divisional. I feel since FEI is already setup that is the
obvious direction to go. Yet then again I have no objection to
participating in rides with divisional breakdowns. Look at Castle Rock
with foot runners and every length of non-LD ride involved. It isn't that
far out to the realm of the possible folks. Most of us in the SW can point
to and name more then a few friends and colleagues who have sold horses to
Saudis for professional racing over there. Usually in the range of 20K. I
think most of us Southern Californians know a very nice fellow who's been
successful in endurnace since he left Minn. (practically) an eon ago
who'll broker for you. If you have the right horse. Who's to say that kind
of money wouldn't be interested in setting up a prize catagory of rides,
oh shoot call them races, in America? We're standing on the brink folks.

I just want to have a goal. A possibilty of doing well. If there's an
amatuer division then that's just fine with me.
