Howdy.. I have an SS that will slide on occasion if we are going down a very
steep hill. YOu may want to try a crupper for you r horse... esp if he has
not very prominent withers and a nice round barrel... My stallion has this,
but he does have nice withers... I have to be careful though as he dances
around till it's in the right spot on his back. Mine runs from teh shoulder
ot the hip as well, but I am still sitting int he middle of his back. He
doesn't seem to mind it at all.
ANyway, that's probably becasue he has a very short back. This is about the
only saddle this guy has liked. I am also still using my original girth, but
will probabyl change it when I figure out what he actually likes... He did
toughen up somewhat in the girth area, but now he has a nice little sarcoid
there that I need to have removed before I rid ehim again. UGH. It never ends!
