Endurance rides are races. As one of the bumperstickers you sell
reads. "...why have first place". >>

I agree with the a lot of what the author of this note said. PLEASE, those
that do, stop putting down people who work hard with their horses to get in
good condition. Its fine to have your opinion, but why try to belittle
others.

Can those of you who never "race" tell me honestly that you have never looked
at your watch and calculated how much time you have to finish within the
limit or gauged your pace. Are you not then "racing" the clock? COME ON!

BTW, even though the 25 is considered a training ride, I feel that I and my
horse have worked pretty hard to get to where we are - I WANT TO KNOW WHAT MY
OFFICIAL TIME IS AND WHAT PLACE WE CAME IN! My goal is to finish with a 100%
sound horse and if he or she is willing and eager to go fast - why not?!

Also, while I'm complaining... again, those of you that do, stop putting down
the new people to the sport. Give us some credit. We're not stupid,
uneducated imbeciles bumbling around the trails. Some of us are truly trying
to learn as much as possible about nutrition and training and racing AND
equitation... hopefully just like you did when you started out.
