Hi Sallie,

We are going up Thursday morning through Sunday afternoon, and are staying
at the Peppermill; they have reasonable rates. For a good variety of places
to stay, call
the chamber of commerce and they will send LOTS of literature!

One hint is to make two calls for reservation rates, one as a convention
attendee
and one as someone who is going to Reno on a vacation and see shows and
gamble...
many of the hotels give the gamblers better rates up to 60% better!

As to what to see, if you have a car, Tahoe is close, and is wonderful in
the winter. There is lots of skiing near-by, and the mountains are
spectacular. I'm tempted to go up a day or two earlier and try out some
cross-country skiing.

And I always go out to see the BLM wild horse pens when in Reno; if I win
the lottery,
I want to add a mustang to my critter collection! It's interesting to check
these fuzzies out up close and personal. They look very little like My
Friend Flicka!

I'm helping Jim and Jan Jeffers out in their Pony Express booth - stop by
and say Hi!
