Don't let the crowded Orange Co version fool ya! I'm in Tulare Co.
South end of the big central valley, east side, just into the
foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. I consider our property small with
5 acres. Most of the mares have only seen closed confinement in a
foaling stall (smallest is 12x16). "Normal" is either on pasture or
in the barn, which has stalls open to individual big corrals.

People tend to think of CA as cities, beaches, Disneyland and
Hollywood. Some recall we have the Sierra Nevadas and other
mountains. Don't forget that we also have the largest citrus
production region in the nation, as well as having a major
contribution to dairy and assorted crops. Got some cattle ranches
left, too. Produce from CA is literally shipped world wide. Still a
lot of territory in CA that is ag country! :)

Diversity in property values, too. You just figure that the more
blacktop there is in an area, the higher the property values. :)
