Dear Melody,

It's fun to tease Susan because she pontificates in the manner of so many
academics, and then when challenged, or even kidded about something,
over-reacts, and whinges and whines so. One would think she would be into
this mode of communication; she hangs out with a lawyer! Long winter nights
have become ever so much more interesting with the "Tom vs. Susan" debates.

I happen to enjoy Mr. Iver's style of writing, it makes a potentially dry
subject real, meaningful and even entertaining. This man has more knowledge
and experience than most of us will ever achieve. Please, let's all pray
for his speedy recovery in whatever manner you deem appropriate. Even the
New England Journal of Medicine admits that patients who are prayed for do
better than those who aren't.

Happy Trails,
