The question about what kind of horse can do both dressage and endurance- for
the answer is a Morab, which I just bought. In spite of scepticism on the part
of my dressage teacher because this horse has Arab blood,
I went ahead and got this filly because of her
excellent movement and attitude. My teacher LOVES this horse now. Josie is
learning extremely fast and always tries to do what is asked of her. SHe is
fast on her feet and in her response to requests, but is so calm minded that I am
incredulous at times. Our walks out in the woods and fields have not caused
her any spooks or refusals-she is brave! SHe's also fast. I'm told that this
wonderful attitude and athleticism is pretty standard among Morabs. Attitude
is so important in dressage and many horses, even warmbloods, do not have the
mental ability to stick with it.-Amy
