The Endurance Riders Handbook is still available from AERC.
It covers the basics and is "primarily intended for new endurance riders and people considering beginning endurance riding."

I checked with the AERC office. The Endurance Handbook (98 pages), developed by the AERC Education Committee in 1991 and edited by Nina Warren is available FREE to new members of AERC and comes automatically with a new membership.

If you wish to order just theAERC Endurance Riders Handbook, send $7.50 plus $3 SH to
AERC , 701 High Street, Suite 203, Auburn, CA 95603.
