I just turned off the Sound of Music and caught the 10PM news -- A
carriage made an unexpected stop in the Plaza shopping distict of the
city -- but not to pick up passengers. Down went the mare, and you
guessed it - she went into labor. Apparently the foal hasn't been born
yet, but will probably come this evening. Presumably the owners of the
horse didn't know the mare was pregnant. I can just imagine the
spectacle this making -- and I wonder how long before the local animal
rights people will jump on this...
Not endurance-related, but I thought it interesting. If I get more
details, i will post them.
