Gut sounds

How do you get a horse to get better gut sounds? My horse at the Caspers =
ride did a great job. We got all A's at the 1st check, except for gut =
sounds (C). I asked the vet if this was a problem and he said no, since =
all else was great. Well I tempted her with all sorts of goodies to no =
avail and then headed back out. At the final check, all scores were A's, =
one B and gut sounds (0). I had really tried to get her to eat and had =
actually gotten about a whole flake of hay into her. We heard slight gut =
sounds at the trailer before the check, so I was surprised when the vet =
sai0 after she had eaten all that hay. What's going on here? How can I =
get louder(?)/more gut sounds?
