Teddy,

Thank you for your words. This forum loses much of its value when a
simple question causes some people to become upset as if it were an
attack on them or on our sport. Just because we love our Country, we
are not to question legislative or administrative acts? Noooo way.

More to home, some folks on this net and elsewhere seem to think that
we should fall into lockstep formation behind our BoD and AERC in
gerenal, regardless of what they do specifically. I disagree.

I first started paying AERC dues in the mid-70's and have been an avid,
staunch supporter of AERC and OUR sport ever since. However, I DO NOT
want my dues to pay AERC's legal fees if some unfortunate rider gets
hammered and then asks the court to show us the error of our ways.

In a very positive and proactive way, I want to help clean-up the drug
policy language and thereby have my dues go towards rider education,
trails or some other worthy pursuit.
