Why did your group suggest that the money be given only to the top 10
finishers?
Perhaps if you had suggested that the money be divided among
all those that completed with a horse "fit to continue" you would
a) get a huge number of entries and therefore $$$ to support the VTC
b) encourage people to ride within their limits and not risk their horses
health for the sake of a top 10 placing
c) truly support the AERC motto "to finish is to win"
