Oh Boy....betcha a lot of you can relate to this...

Mystery's lameness getting better. Vet says it appears to be a soft
tissue trama, maybe bleeding in the inner wall of the hoof (but I don't
think so at this point).

Farrier was at the ranch and wanted to look at him. "Oh, its
navicular...I can see that a mile away! Why didn't your vet tell you!"

"Ummmm...navicular....whats that?" Replies me, the learn as you go
girl...

Well, a phone call later and good explanations from a trusted vet (I
already had the blocks and xrays done) put my mind at ease. But I bet
this happens a lot....

Two questions here...

1. Any really really GOOD medical text books on equines out there that
someone could recommend? I found I have "zip" on navicular.

2. Anyone want to explain in 50 words or less navicular and maybe some
clear indications of the symptoms (I know...its complicated...but it
sounds like a kind of common thing....)

Thanks all,
Kimberly (&Mystery the Morab..I'm only limping to the left now so just
don't lunge me to the left and I'm sure I'll get better.....)
