Group,
I wrote this to Cheryl and then realized I should also have asked
all of you, as I'm sure there are some VERY good ideas out there.
Anyone who can help can e-mail me directly.

Cheryl,
How are you and Jihad? I have a favor to ask. I have a friend
who is going to borrow my trailer this weekend to transport a horse - an
8 yr. old Arabian that she is hoping to make into a mount for herself and
mostly her son (14 yr. old). I have several reservations about all of
this for a variety of reasons, but...most immediate is my concern over
the transport of the horse. He has only been trailered once or twice in
his life. From what I gather it took over 2 hours to load him the last
time he was trailered. This horse is IMO very green. I am worried about
how loading will go this Sat. and would be very disappointed if these
people (all of whom IMO don't know anything about horses) ruined another
trailering experience for this horse. As he has had so few trailering
experiences in the past I think it is still possible to make a good
hauler out of him, and I think easy trailering is one of the essentials
to a good horse.
However, I am not a horse trainer, and my ideas on how to load a
difficult horse aren't any better than these people - except stuffing him
in the trailer is NOT one of my ideas! Could you ask your trainer how we
might approach this in a positive way? I would greatly appreciate it.
He is being moved this Sat. so if that is too soon to get back to me I
understand, but if you could I would be very thankful.

Thanks,
Dianna Arnett
