aerc members questionaire

the annual renewal forms from the aerc came this week along with the
questionaire.

steph teeter and i had made up a set of questions for it concerning
membership use of the internet. these may be used to see if more
internet services for the membership are justified.

the questions i posted about 6 weeks ago were cut down to sometime
like

do you use the internet? what would you like to see?

sort of thing to keep the whole thing to one page.

i encourage alllistserv aerc members to send the questionaire back
and try to make sure that any aerc members that you know - and likely
to use the internet in the future - send it in as well.

the survey i did on the aerc component of this listserv sometime ago
showed that the aerc members participating here are a very small
part of the membership.

there were about 160 of the 600 plus listserv members that belonged
to the aerc. while this is a reasonable portion of the listserv -
it is less than 3 % of the total aerc membership.

if the aerc is to spend money to set up - and support(the bigger part
of the cost) internet services - the board of directors needs to
see more than 3 % of the members benefitting from the $$ spent.

so send yours in - and go to your fellow aerc members to get them
to express interest through the questionaire. we need to do this
now since the questionaire goes back with the dues renewal - due
this month.
