Vaccinations/Shock

Help!

I've always given my horse his vaccinations myself without any problems.

Recently, I read that sometimes a horse can go into anaphylactic shock after
receiving a vaccination. Then, epinephrin needs to be administered
immediately to save the animal.

How common is an anaphylactic reaction?

Do you all keep epinephrin on hand -- just in case? Can it be bought over the
counter?

I'm terrified, now, to give Gabe his next shot. What do you all recommend?

Thanks!!!!
Deanne and Gabe (who doesn't mind needles, as long as you don't push them in
slowly!)
