Now is the time to start getting those horses in shape. There is a whole
nother season out there - the Flordia season. This year there are two one
day 100's and two 2 day 100's before the first of April!

The Flordia season starts off with the Concerned Horsemen 50/25 near West
Palm Beach. This is on 4 Jan.

The next weekend (Jan 11) is the Osceola 25/50/100. This is being run in
North FL - near Lake City and only a few miles from the GA bourder. This
is an easy ride and would make a good 1'st 100.

On Feb 1 is the Far Out Forest 35/50/100 held in the Ocala National Forest.
This is about 2.5 to 3 hours (off I-75) from the FL/Geordian bourder. This
can be a sandy ride - but you folks that just did JD's ride should be
ready.

On 8/9 March is the Flordia Endurance Classic run near Inverness. This ride
is about 3 to 3.5 hours from the GA bourder off I-75. This is a 25/50/2
day 100.

The final 100 is the Gother Benefit Challange presented by the "Friends of
Gothe" - a non profit organization dedicated to establish horse trails and
camping facilties in the newly aquired Gothe State Forest. This is as a
25/50/50/2 day 100 mile format. The ride sight is about 45 minutes West of
Gainsville and about 1.5 to 2 hours from the Flordia bourder (off I-75).
The ride manager is yours truly.

So "come on down folks" - there is good riding in Flordia this winter.
