Kris - I've been using a HRM for many years with the Sports Saddle and have
had no problem getting correct readings. What kind of cinch are you using?

I use Teddy Lancaster's fleece cinch without the use of the velcro strap to
help hold the electrode at the cinch area. If the cinch isn't the problem,
maybe you have a malfunction with the HRM? That has occurred with mine.
I'd get readings like 190 at a walk and 78 at a trot. I sent the HRM back
and learned it was malfunctioning. Try a new set of wires -- they get
damaged more easily than you think -- it might make a difference. Or, if a
friend has a HRM, try it for a ride to see if you still get bad readings.
