loosening girths

ROger, the only problem I see with this is that I have a lot of people come
through PRs that decide they can't loosen their girths! ANd the horse's
heart rate is a little too high, so I always suggest they loosen the girth.
It invariably makes the heart rate go down. I am amazed at the number of
people that do't realize this... ALso the number of people (thankfullynot
too many) that don't get their horse's jugulars wet before coming in to
check if the horse is visibly stressed. If people take the time to just put
on a little water and loosen the girth, it helps a LOT. If it's cold, this
might not all apply of course, and in hot weather more water may be
indicated, but you guys get the gist... Thanks for all the info on the Heart
MOnitor. I don' t have one since I am usually riding greenies and don';t
need it plus don't hav eth emoney yet but when I do start campaiging
seriously I will.
