Good, we agree. The next thing to worry about is when to reset--one of my
best clues is when the foot starts to overlap the shoe--anywhere. And if I'm
dealing with a foot that has been shod small for a while, this can happein in
a week unless I give it some significant room to expand.

By the way, I am NOT a farrier. I'd nail my thumb to the hoof. Takes more
courage than I have to get down there and wrestle with 1,000 lbs of
orangutan.
