Hi Steph - re the equithotics. I live in Boulder Colorado. Our mountain
terrain varies with chipped granite to river bottom (rounded stones) left
over from the development of our terrain by the glaciers, so you can find
these rounded stones all over not only in river bottoms. The problem is
picking up the stones in the holes in the shoe. The seem to be just the
wrong size and since the hole is beveled from bottom to top you need a
screwdriver to get the stone out (sometimes) because most hoofpicks are too
soft. Other than that I've gotten two settings and they seem to wear well
notwithstanding the granite.
