The Vasque boots I got for Christmas were beautiful, but not made for my
American feet (they're made in Czeckoslovakia.)I had to return them after
wearing them for about 2 days in deep sand. They hurt my joint at big toe.
However, my Ariats are another story. I have the performer which I've worn
consistently for a year. The leather is getting kind of dry, I don't clean
or polish very often, but they are the most comfortable shoes I own. I have
walked about 30 miles of trail in them, rough and rocky, in the last year.
They aren't warm, however, but I hope I get some winter Ariats this
Christmas, hint, hint.
