Breaking up is hard to do....[story, sort of]

He gets the red tack, I get the orange and purple
He gets the grey, I get the bay
I get the truck & trailer (for now) and the tack business
He gets the Star Trek videos/books, I get Mel Gibson & Arnie
Schwartznegger (OK, I'm an Arnie fan)
I get Dick Francis, he gets Larry Niven
He gets lameness, I get animal behavior/alternative therapies

And so concludes each difficult day, this on-going breakup of our
family. The cats are confused to that get-even-stage, "if I sit on it
they can't move it", Odie just tries to be an invisible puppy.

Miss B knows, she doesn't understand why she is for sale, I can feel her
confusion like a raw, searing pain in my gut. She stands, quietly,
almost like a shadow of a horse, her nose slightly touching my shoulder,
the brow wrinkled. Kasey, of course, is clueless; Mr T suspicious.

So Mom must distract herslf each day, focus on yet another endless list.
If only we had just one more ride--I'm only 46 miles short of my 1000.

So he gets the grey, I get the bay....

Breaking up is hard to do....
