The "saddle lady" is about ready to resume the database. I have been
receiving numerous reports of broken pommel trees in Sport Saddles. You
can tell if the tree is broken by grasping each side and rotating back
and forth--you will feel the tree "give" and flex.

The bad news is that the company has been, shall we say "reticent", about
correcting manufacturing errors.

Diane,

I also would want more info on this. In riding the saddle for
3 years, I have never heard any reports of the pommel breaking.

Certainly, there is nothing on THIS newsgroup that has come up.

I am surprised the company would be "reticent". After all, the
tree pieces have a warranty.

Can you elaborate any?

Karen
