warm feet

Easy! Go visit your local bicycle shop, and make sure it sells road
bicycles. Winter bike riders (such as myself) have to cover up their
vented riding shoes with something, else feet turn purple from cold.
There are nice shoe covers available that range from thin "thinsulate"
slip on's, to thick neoprene zip up shoe covers which cover your entire
foot. These warm "booties" even have holes in the sole, or even no sole,
so you can pedal your bike. They are designed to keep the wind from
getting to your feet, and sure work on the bike.
