Well.. tina may of had a grand time... but I will say it was not so great..
We did not do so good in the MUD.. Fasha went very rough all the way
..-slipping.. both were quite tired and sore.. I just could NOT keep balanced
and lite in the saddle..
the first 25 miles went well 3.5 hrs.. good trail not too wet ..yet, then
the next loop 10 miles --alone in the mud ..rain fog came upon us.. bad go
long time.. had to slow down or fall down. got off in the bad spots.. of
course as i went on ..slower.. more rain came and made the trail worse.. so
it was a catch 22 no win deal..
almost pulled after 40... but then she did recover well ate-drank a bit
werary.. we both felt like quiting.. but then its a challange and always
easy to quit
so out on the last 15 miles alone cold wet.. got rougher.. no fun she went
slipping all the way.. did pick up after the trail turned to road and a
better surface.. finished at 6.30...long much longer then planned..9 hours
ride time,lousy
tired cold took care of her, she looked rough, but sound and was willing to
trot out, not in trouble, just had it with the conditions...
so we did it another 50 for the 'retired old' mare i think we were in worse
shape
after this ride then after the od50.
we were parked in the overflow lot.. could not get out stuck in mud.. 3
tries with a 4x 4 and the motorhome and trailer came out of the mud.. what a
mess..
nice trip home.. fasha is ok filling in the legs.. and i ache all over...
angie and the team did a great job best marked trail i have ridden.. could
not get lost..right tina>:)...food was great.. all i could eat..super.., very
nice tee shirt.. i am getting a rebel conditioning. meeting a great bunch of
se endruance riders. guess i am doing ok as a transplant rebel trainee..
will say the end riders from the sera are easier to get along with, then the
region5 natrac were /are.. no ego attitude clicks..just real riders who
ride..really ride
to finish is to win..
when its in your blood and your life you cant quit..endurance riding is a
real rush..
when was that next sera ride??? where is hirum ga? will it rain?
