Hi everyone! I have a few questions for those of you who have experience
doing multi-day rides. It looks like I'm going to get to go to the Death
Valley Encounter this year! Yahoo, yippee-yay, I can't wait!!!!! :))) I am
so excited, it'll be my first multi-day and I'll probably just ride for two
days, because I don't think I'll last trying to ride more than that.

1. What do you do different when packing for a multi-day ride v. a one day 50?
2. How much water do you bring, and do you do anything different in regards
to food for the horse?
3. Do you try to arrive at the ride site any sooner for a multi-day, and
after the ride, how much time do you give the horse to rest before going home?
4. Do you consider having a crew essential, or can you get by without one?
5. What if anything different do you do regarding food for the rider?
6. How many bottles of ibuprofin do you bring? <G>
7. What should I expect on the second day of the ride?
8. Do you use ice boots or wrap the horses legs on the nights between rides?
9. How much time off should the horse have afterwards?
10. How about time off before the ride?
11. Is it typical for the horse (or rider) to lose weight after riding for
two, three or four days in a row?

If there is anything else that might be helpful or informative, please let
me know!!!

Thank you very much,

Karen
