1. the questions will come to aerc members as a part of a general
aerc survey with their 1997 dues renewal by PAPER mail in nov.
2. you should answer the questions in the paper survey and send them
back to the aerc in nov/dec with your renewal
3. these are "possible" services that the aerc "may" offer if
there is enough interest and
enough members using the service to justify the cost of providing it
4. please do NOT send responses to me by e-mail or post them to the
listserv
these 2 questions are of real interest to us and we would certainly like
to have the aerc provide them. some of the difficulties are
we are a pretty small percentage of the total aerc 5K+ members now.
the aerc should not use general funds to benefit a small portion of the
members.
the aerc is just getting started in this area. they don't have the
people to support it well yet.
and so on.
bottom line here is -
WAIT FOR THE QUESTIONS TO COMER OUT IN PAPER FORM AND SEND IN
YOUR RESPONSES.
and yes - we have considered setting up the survey on the web
so that you could enter answers and then e-mailed to aerc.
we have to see if the aerc office is really prepared for that yet...
