I've used it in a TTeam clinic. IMO it, like any other bit, can be either
cruel or fine depending on the user. However, because of the long shanks
and the severity it requires a ***VERY**** soft independent hand. I do
not feel it is suitable for beginers, those with hard hands or those who
are not very experienced. I do not own one, I only use snaffles on all my
horses and very strongly feel that if I can't control the horse with a
plain smooth snaffle then I need to work more on that and no bit will
help.

Rather than the TTeam bit you might try the neck rope/rein in combination
with a regular snaffle to rebalance the horse and bring them back. Less
prone to problems if you are not as independent a rider.
