I like "gripers". You can find them in hardware stores, not in
catalogs. They seem to be made for a woman rather than just
almost the right sized mens gloves.

They are leather in the palms and fingers. No extra leather between
the fingers, like most "mens" gloves. And they are a rubber material
on the back of the gloves. The rubber comes in different colors -
blue, purple, etc.

I can generally get 6 months use out of the gloves before they
begin to show signs of wear. They aren't outrageously expensive
either - $15 or so.
