I will add comments on the Ford Power Stroke Diesel 4x4.

We bought an F-350 Power Stroke Diesel 4x4 back in February
to pull a new gooseneck (22 ft long -- not sure how much it
weighs -- it is aluminum and FRP). The truck is awesome.
Tows in the mountains like it has nothing behind it. Very
stable on the highway -- not pushed around at all by tractor
trailers on the beltway. 4x4 is great. Did not get stuck
at the Biltmore. Got the 4 door model -- room for
everything. Good gas mileage. Paid alot of money for it
but worth the payment every month. Also the truck does tow
our gooseneck level.

If you get a Ford consider getting the Power Stroke (diesel). The extra
milage will soon pay the extra cost - not to mention the extra power this
engine produces for towing. Some 4WD trucks are too high to tow a goose
neck level. I know this is true for Dodge, I don't know about Ford - be
aware of this potential problem and check out the height vs, the height of
the goose neck portion of the trailer.
