The Allaire 30 was once again blessed with "good" weather, cloudy and a
mite chilly. This is a deceptively challenging course with twisty,
narrow trails and plenty to duck under & bend around--clearly more of a
challenge for the rider than the horse! The NJTRA group always does an
outstanding job of management, but best of all their "catering" service
is superb! Stagg & Cheryl Newman, ride managers, are to be
congratulated, as are all the nice folks from Jersey.

There were 6 juniors on the ride--the most I've seen all year in the NE!
We seem to have a tough time attracting junior riders. How do you folks
in the MW and W do it? I'd love to hear about any programs you might
have to attract young/new riders. I'd like to share this information
with ECTRA and all interested parties here in the NE so that we can
provide a suitable venue for attracting more people to our sport. Please
email me privately and I will be happy to summarize.

Thanks in advance for your input!
