My new Sport Saddle should be arriving soon (pleasepleaseplease) and I
need to order a cinch for it. I've been using a felt type cinch on a
borrowed saddle and have had no problems with rubs but then again I
don't ride my 4 yr old very far yet. There are several cinch types out
there, neoprine, fleece, woolback fleece, felt, cordura. What are the
pros and cons ? Finn is very round backed and saddle rolling is a
consideration. He is also very thin coated. This is the horse that the
saddle rides forward on. I finally settled on the Sport Saddle with a
wide flank strap covered in fleece as the best solution. The flank
strap really keeps the saddle in place! Unfortunately I had to finally
return Bob Walsh's saddle to him. I had for a couple of months and
it's been a life saver. Now if mine would just show up!

TIA,
