We are trying to reopen as many of the trails as possible
since prime riding weather is upon us. The Dark Hollow
trail to Big Meadows was badly blocked as of last Sunday
as was the trail to Chapman Mtn. Trails on the back side
of Old Rag i.e. the Winter Trail and the Training Trail are
also blocked. While we cannot work in the Park Service
areas, there are still a number of trails that we can reopen.
WE NEED HELP! If you are available we will have a
work party on Sunday, Oct. 6 which will meet at Dip
Lucy's cabin. We are losing the battle in keeping these
trails open for everyone to ride. The local guys who have
helped in the past have either lost interest or have their
hands full repairing other damaged areas. Please come
help us reopen these trails. If you can't come this
weekend then at least set aside another day to come up.
