stolen horse

Help!! This isn't endurance, but I'm at the end of my rope and need help
from people in the Northeast. My mare was being free leased by someone I
thought I knew for the last 2 years in Bucks County, PA. I naively thought
calling regularly and visually checking her every 4-6 months was enough.
It was not as after 6 weeks of wild goose chases it appears she was sold
by this person (term used loosely) to an auction most likely in late
spring early summer in New Jersey. The auction may have been Bunchies
(?sp). My mare, when last seen in April, was a sound, quiet, sweet,
15.3h
chesnut thoroughbred with four socks, a blaze with a chesnut spot between
her eyes, a snip and a flesh mark on her left lower lip. She had an old
scar on a knee, I think right. She is ten and tattooed, but so far the
Jockey Club has been unable to tell me what the number was (it's not
included on my papers).

Please help me. The most important thing is to find what became of
her, and buy her back if possible ...I am heartsick. Also, it appears I
have minimal recourse with the
perpetrator because she has no money and according to the people I've
talked to in the last 6 weeks "she does this all the time"!!!?! The
police have been unhelpful. What kind of world is this? I feel I have
really let my girl down. Please pass on her description to anyone whom
may be of help. Please call or email with any leads.
