RE: mounting bareback
When I was younger I used to mount by simply swinging up as
described by several people, BUT I could only do so from the right side.
Check to see which foot is natural for you to jump from. I am definitely a
right-footed jumper. If you are too, you might try it from the right side of
the horse. I weigh the same now as I did then (since fat weighs less than
muscle, I am a lot bulkier though) but since it makes my thighs ache to
THINK about riding bareback these days I have had no interest in humiliating
myself by trying again.
RE: @ pins
I trashed the message that told about the @ identifying pins that
some thoughtful person had dreamed up. How can I get one? I'd love to be
able to ID the people whose mail I've been reading. Somehow it seems less
like voyeurism if I can identify myself as a lurker.
I recently moved to Oroville and would like to meet some other
endurance riders in the area. Anybody out there? I live right on a great
trail and am retired so I hope there are other riders around that would like
to condition with me.
The whole internet thing is also very new to me, but I have really
enjoyed reading all the great notes. I even discovered I know a couple of
you. I think it's a great the way everyone shares knowledge in this forum.
Thanks for the recipes, Roger.
Is the Point Reyes rendezvous on August 24 open to all? I'd love to
join you, Karen.
