[endurance] Sport Saddle Question

I've been riding my TWH in a Circle-Y Sport Saddle for well over a year, I
upgraded my pad to the equalizer a couple of months ago and girth to a
neoprene. Never had soreness, and the equalizer corrected the problem with
little hair knots on his loins. Since getting the equalizer, I am having
problems with side to side slipping with the saddle. It is on straight,
then when I mount it is slipped to the side mounted on and frequently will
not straighten. This is bad enough, but at Mt. Laguna, our first ride, the
saddle kept slipping to the right for some unexplained reason! I'd get off,
straighten the saddle, mount on the left and within a mile I'd be listing
right again. Maybe it was caused by the weight of the water bottles. I
took my feet out of the stirrups and balanced my riding, tried real hard to
keep my weight balanced, but to no avail... Needless to say he had a very
sore back by the end of 25 miles. Assuming it was the water bottle, I
didn't refill the third - unbalancing - water bottle at the vet check, and
that seemed to help some. I've been trying other saddles the last couple of
weeks, but really prefer the Sport Saddle and none of them have been as
comfortable for me, and he doesn't seem to show a preference for any of the
others. Anyone experienced and defeated this slippage problem with sport
saddles? I'm gonna play with different girths next I guess (he doesn't like
the neoprene, it rubs his elbow and he's getting "girthy")- maybe a breast
collar...
