I'm looking for some advice on feed for the endurance horse. I'm
currently feeding Natural Glo with oats and barley (with grass hay). I feed
it wet because of the powder consistency of the Natural Glo. The problem
I'm having is that the sheer mass of the recommended feeding of the Natural
Glo (2 lbs and the water) is too much for my mare. She nibbles all night
and still doesn't clean out her feed pan. She does great with just 1 lb of
the Natural Glo but I'm concerned that her fat consumption won't be high
enough. The literature that I have read published by the makers of this feed
specifically state not feeding corn oil with it.
Is anyone else out there feeding Natural Glo? How is it working for
you? Besides this problem I really like it, and so does Starrzza. Her coat
is beautiful and she has a lot of energy without the "sugar high" I've had
problems with in the past (with other feeds).
Any ideas?
