I was talking to Jane Ressler at the Old Dominion. Based on my
understanding of the conversation, a portion of the Horse Shoe Trail in
PA has been blocked by a ban on horse back riding in one of the State
Game Lands. This is the result of an incident with a mountain bike race
(500 bikes) tearing up a section of low land trail. The gov. agency
who controls the game lands has banded all horseback riding and biking
in the game land. A $100 fine if caught. This is rumored to be a pilot
program for banning horse back riding and biking in all game lands in
PA. This would result in eliminating almost all AERC and ECTRA rides in
PA! I have received a stack of newspaper articles from Jane and will
read them in the morning and will summerize the information for the net
and correct any errors in tonights report.

Jane will be getting back to me on the results of a meeting Saturday of
local equestrians on the subject.

If you know anything more about this, please post it.
