Do any of you give some bute the night after a ride or the next morning? I
am basically a minimalist when it comes to stuff for the horse - the less
tack, boots, supplements, "junk" etc. I don't have to use, the better, IMO.

However, I am wondering about using a little bute after the OD ride (waayy
after the ride and the completion check (here's crossing your fingers that
I get to have a completion check), of course :->)- particularly before the
trailer ride home just to offset basic soreness/stiffnes or filling from
standing so long.

Is there some rule I should be aware of? I did notice that the vets are
doing a 'safety check' on Sunday morning to make sure no one is having any
problems that didn't crop earlier - I get the impression this is a once
over or maybe even just a walk around and check on everyone tho I'm not for
sure....

I mean, *I* take aspirin after a ride - is it considered taboo to offer the
horse the same thing?
==========
Pants: Carousel Tights from Sportack. Have one pair - padded knees and
crotch - swear by them

Bras: *No*t an issue for me (:-<) but I use a lot of Nike stuff for
teaching aerobics and if anything could bounce in their sports bras I'd be
*amazed* - squash-o city! BTW, they make lots of stuff with Cool-Max fabric
- great stuff!

Ride Managerment and Trails - I agree it is a sad state when managers feel
they have to make up challenges - isn't going 35 or 50 or 100 miles and
ending with a sound horse enought?? I'd say that's not the case in the
southeast region - Samm or Dave or Nina can probably speak with more
athority than me on that topic.
