vitamin B in humans) that is a natural repellent?"

I have found the 1/2 cup per day of apple cider vinegar (not distilled)
which I give my horses seems to repel ticks and some biting flies. It also
appears to keep down my fly population, since reportedly the more acid ph of
the manure is not hospitable to maggots. The last time I mentioned the apple
cider vinegar on this list, someone said it didn't work for keeping down
their fly population. Maybe Blue Ridge Mountain flies in Virginia are more
sensitive to ph changes.

You could also try human Deep Woods Off--seems to work better than a lot of
horse products.
