The last 2 rides I went on (one 25, one 35) different people on each ride
said to me "that's an egyptian isn't it". I said yes how did you know?
They said they also had an egyptian and they are light in the hindquarters.
Munshaado is light in the hindquarters. He has very well sprung ribs, and
seeing him from the side his rear end looks too small for the rest of his
body. My question is does this affect the distance he can do. Not talking
about being a champion, but just being able to do the distance. So far he's
done top ten two out of three endurance rides (our first season). First 25
ride I didn't know what to expect 22nd our of 52). Figured it out and
second ride made top 10 (8th out of 18 in a 35 Far Out Forrest Ride), then
third ride made top ten Fla Classic V, Withlacoochee(8th again out of 52
horses. Also been on three competitive trail rides with approximately
(between all three) 42 horses in each division for my weight. Did two 6th
and one 3rd. Since he has had such a great (in my opinion) first season, I
am interested in starting him in 50's next season. He just turned 7. I am
interested whether the light rear end would hurt him in longer distances, I
simply haven't a clue.

Anyone have info on longer distances and light hindquartered horses ?
