Lee,
Sounds like you have a stone bruise. If you have an abcess, you can count
on six weeks off, from our experience. Stone bruise, maybe a lot less.
Get in there with a hoof knife and see if you can find it. You may have to
drain it and pack it in epsom salts. A disposable diaper works great!
