Well, I guess if you're reading this, it means I haven't bored you to
death yet. ;-)

I just wanted to let you guys know how Special is doing. I talked to the
vet on Friday. He got the results of her bloodwork back. The enzyme that
goes up and down quickly, and shows how soon she can go back to work, is
back to normal. So, if it wasn't for the abcess I could start riding her
again. GRRR! The other enzyme, the one that goes back down slowly, and
shows how severe the event was, is 10x normal. That means the event was
pretty severe, but not major. In other words, she going to be ok, but we
wouldn't want it to get any worse. There wasn't any kidney damage!!!!
YAY!!

The abcess is getting better. And Special is starting to get really nuts
about being in her stall. Today I picket lined her out on a nice, grassy
spot.

About the stories, I really like them. I'm new to this endurance stuff,
and it helps me to know what to expect and not expect, on a ride. And if
anybody meant to direct a "long story" gripe at me, about my "what the vet
said" post, I apologize. I thought that it was an apporpriate post for
this list, and I did label it -very long-. I think everybody runs into
posts, and whole threads, that don't interest them. Just hit delete!

I hope everybody who had a ride this weekend did well, and stayed safe!
